Today we discussed Chaper 1 of The Great Gatsby and answered plot questions.  Furthermore, we used a variety of strategies for memorization and application of new vocabulary words that are present in Fitzgerald's novel.  

For homework tonight, read Chapter 2 of Gatsby and answer questions 1-7 in the packet.  Remember that summer reading is due Friday on Turnitin as well, so do that ASAP. Thanks for a great day!

Today we peer reviewed memoirs in class.  Consult page 6 in the memoir packet for important questions that you should be able to answer when reading your own memoir.  Additionally, look at "Helpful Editing Tips" under "Important Handouts" on the toolbar to the right.
