Agenda:

- Put your phone away; take out paper and a pen/pencil

- Turn in your essay to the tray up front and staple a rubric to the back.

3/31: Lit as Film

Students will analyze the hero's journey in a classic film.

Agenda:

- Read the screenplay and information on the hero's journey on Classroom
- Track the hero's journey throughout Casablanca (1942)
- This will be your last summative for Q3
- Use the definitions of each point to defend your identifications
- Surprise, if and only if students are productive!

Students will screen and discuss documentaries.

- Screen documentaries with Mr. Arora as a group
- Final Draft Due: today! (Classroom)

- Already done?  Move onto Classroom:
- Annotate and read MLK's "Letter from Birmingham Jail"
- Answer all margin questions (if no questions, ascribe an effect)
- Preview tomorrow's timed-write
- List of rhetorical devices
