Students will analyze an author's rhetorical choices and discuss current events

Agenda:
- Warm-up: Vocab.com (5 minutes)
- Share last week's group work with me (if you didn't already turn it in)
- Read Amy Tan's "Mother Tongue"
- MC on Amy Tan's "Mother Tongue"
- Using notes on logical fallacies, create a fallacious advertisement (propaganda poster) on a specific current event.  You may need to do some research on what's happening in the news!

HW:
- Vocab.com rhetorical analysis list, due/DL Wednesday (even if snow day)

- FYI: Counselor visit on 3/15 for college planning
